Returns & Refunds

Last updated: July 2026

Every item in the archive is unique and hand-graded, so we take description and photography seriously. If a piece isn’t right for you, here’s what to do.

A note on condition

Almost everything we sell is second-hand and often decades old. These items have been read on the terraces, stored in lofts, passed between fans and kept for a lifetime — so general wear and tear is part of the character. Expect creases, small edge tears, rusted staples, old shop price stickers, biro team-changes on programme line-ups and, occasionally, a previous owner’s name on the cover.

We grade each item plainly (Mint, Excellent, Very Good, Good, Fair, Poor) and call out anything more significant — missing pages, heavy tears, water damage, detached covers — in the item notes. The photographs form part of the description, so please have a proper look at them before buying. If you’d like extra pictures of a specific detail, just ask via the enquiry form on the item.

For VHS tapes and DVDs: cases and inserts often show age (scuffs, creases, sticker residue) and we can’t promise old tapes and discs will still play perfectly. Please buy them as collectors’ items unless we’ve confirmed in the notes that we’ve played the item through recently.

14-day cooling-off period

Under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, you have 14 days from receiving your item to tell us you want to return it, and a further 14 days to send it back. Please get in touch via our contact form within that window with your order number and reason for return.

Condition on return

Items must be returned in the same condition you received them, in packaging that protects them in transit (a stiffened envelope for programmes, a padded box for shirts, etc.). Please include the original invoice slip.

Refunds

Once we’ve received and inspected the item we’ll refund the purchase price in full within 5 working days, to the card you paid with. We refund the original standard postage cost too; we don’t refund upgraded delivery.

Return postage

If you’re returning something because you changed your mind, you cover the return postage. If the item arrived damaged, was significantly not as described, or was sent in error, we cover the return postage — please send us a photo first so we can arrange it.

Damaged in the post

Rare, but it happens. Photograph the packaging and the item before doing anything else, then email us within 48 hours of delivery. We’ll sort a refund or replacement (if another example exists) and handle the courier claim.

Your statutory rights

None of the above affects your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
