    Newcastle 2–0 Barnsley (replay)

    Shepherd (2)

    First FA Cup at the fifth attempt of the decade. A replay at Goodison Park finally delivered the trophy after three previous final defeats.

  2. 1924

    Newcastle 2–0 Aston Villa

    Harris, Seymour

    Wembley's second-ever FA Cup Final. Neil Harris and Stan Seymour struck late to bring the cup back to Tyneside.

  3. 1932

    Newcastle 2–1 Arsenal

    Allen (2)

    The 'Over the Line' final. Jack Allen's controversial equaliser — the ball looked out — turned the game and the cup came home again.

  4. 1951

    Newcastle 2–0 Blackpool

    Milburn (2)

    Wor Jackie's day. Two goals from Milburn against Matthews' Blackpool — the first of three FA Cups in five years.

  5. 1952

    Newcastle 1–0 Arsenal

    G. Robledo

    Chilean forward George Robledo's late header retained the trophy — the first club to win consecutive FA Cups at Wembley.

    Newcastle 3–1 Manchester City

    Milburn, Mitchell, Hannah

    Milburn's 45-second header — still one of the fastest goals in a Wembley final. Three cups in five years, the Cup Kings crowned.

Supermac's promised final. Malcolm Macdonald was silenced, Keegan scored twice for Liverpool — but the run to Wembley lit up Tyneside all season.

Kenny Dalglish's side reached Wembley behind Overmars and Anelka. The old stadium's last FA Cup Final before the rebuild.
